UMVA has learned that a heartwarming story of a family's love for conservationist Sir David Attenborough has captured the hearts of many, as they made a special tribute to him on his 100th birthday.
A young couple, Lauren and Stephen, welcomed their little one, Ambrose Attenborough, this month, and in a remarkable coincidence, the baby was born on the same day as Sir David's 100th birthday. The parents had been fans of the renowned conservationist's work since childhood and wanted to honor him in a unique way.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Stephen revealed that it was the morning of the 8th that his wife mentioned Sir David's special day, and he suggested naming their son Attenborough in his honor. With their baby delivered by forceps at 11:58 pm, they decided to make it happen.
The couple had initially chosen another name for their baby but changed it at the last minute, making the decision completely spur of the moment. As animal and nature lovers who grew up watching Sir David's documentaries, they felt it was a perfect tribute.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Stephen and Lauren are hoping their son will grow up to be a fan of Sir David's work, just like they are. They're planning to introduce him to nature documentaries when he's a little older and hope he'll develop a love for wildlife.
The family of little Ambrose is a major fan of Sir David, and his parents expressed their gratitude for his decades of work in educating the world about the natural world and its conservation. They also hope that their son, along with his older sister Lyra, will grow up with a love for animals and continue to nurture their interest in the natural world.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that the couple's love for animals is evident in their current pets, including cats, and their aspirations to have more pets, such as a small holding with farm animals, in the future. For now, they're basking in the joy of their new addition and the special bond they've created with Sir David's legacy.
