A family, who had been anxiously searching for a loved one, has been informed of the heartbreaking news, bringing an end to their desperate hopes of a safe return. The emotional ordeal began with a desperate appeal, as Lilly's mum pleaded for her safe return, saying 'Please bring my baby back home.'
According to information obtained by UMVA, the last sighting of Lilly was when she was seen walking through a church yard, looking lovely, as described by someone who had interacted with her. The details of her appearance were shared, with detectives describing her as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, with a medium build and long black hair, wearing a long black dress and black sandals.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the body was found in Pilgrims Park, Blaina, prompting a large police presence in the area as investigators work to establish the circumstances of the death. The community is understandably distressed, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detectives are working around the clock to piece together the events surrounding the tragic discovery, with Detective Chief Inspector Steven Thomas assuring the public that officers are available to speak with anyone who may have information. The police presence in the area will continue as enquiries are ongoing.
