UMVA has learned that Lee Andrews, the husband of Katie Price, has been released from prison in Dubai, but his freedom is short-lived as he still has debts to pay.
Lee, a businessman in his 40s, was jailed over unpaid debts, including a whopping £54,000 owed to a rent-a-car company, Rotana Star, and £15,000 owed to a UAE legal firm.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Lee's debts mean he must inform the CID before leaving Dubai, but he is not considered an 'actively wanted' man by the police.
During his court appearance, Lee's representatives moved for his release so he could access his bank account to pay off the debts, stating that he needed 14 days to settle the outstanding amount.
Lee has claimed that his wife, Katie, has been his rock throughout the ordeal, but insisted that he hasn't asked her to pay off any of his debts, boasting that he can do it himself.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Lee now has two weeks to come up with the £69,000 or face re-arrest and a return to prison.
In a bizarre statement, Lee claimed he was taken at gunpoint and captured by men with assault rifles near the Qatar Omani border, saying he was hand-tied, shackled, and had a hood over his head.
Katie Price has stood by her man, jumping into his arms on their reunion, but has reportedly not paid a penny towards Lee's freedom.
Despite the mystery surrounding Lee's past, Katie seems happy to be reunited with him, and the couple was spotted watching a World Cup game together at Vox Dubai.
Lee's Instagram story revealed a suspiciously thick crop of hair on his previously shaved head, sparking questions about his time in prison.
The saga surrounding Lee Andrews continues, with many questions still unanswered.
