Emira D'Spain has become the first full‑time transgender cast member on a Bravo series, joining the lineup of Next Gen NYC last year.

The reality show debuted in June 2025 and follows the children of several Bravo personalities, alongside newcomers such as D'Spain, as they navigate adulthood through brunches, breakups and spontaneous decisions.

After its first season, the series returned for a second installment earlier this month, expanding its roster with Shai Fruchter, Georgia McCann, Charlie Zakkour, and new additions Rowan Hency and Liam Obergfoll.

Other key figures include Gia Giudice, Ariana Biermann, Brooks Marks, and Riley Burruss, all children of established Bravo stars, with their parents appearing in the series. The cast also features Ava Dash, daughter of Damon Dash and Rachel Roy, and Ariana’s then‑partner Hudson McLeroy.

Season one highlighted tensions among the cast, including a heated dinner where Gia confronted Ariana and Brooks over personal disagreements, illustrating the drama that unfolds over money, fashion and family dynamics.

D'Spain’s role marks a significant milestone for the network, following Billie Lee’s earlier part‑time appearance on Vanderpump Rules in 2019 as a transgender cast member.

In a statement, a network spokesperson said the show aims to showcase the diversity and authenticity of a new generation.

Originally from Dubai and raised in Dallas, D'Spain earned a degree from New York University and later served as beauty director for Paper Magazine.

Her modeling career includes being the first Black transgender face for Victoria’s Secret, as well as work with Fenty Beauty, Ugg, Anastasia Beverly Hills and NARS Cosmetics.

Described as ambitious and driven, D'Spain balances a planned career with the demands of romance and friendship, a dynamic that plays out throughout the series.

In 2022, she was dubbed TikTok’s “It Girl,” yet she has spoken about the challenges of using social media to represent her community without reducing her identity to a single aspect.

Next Gen NYC airs on Bravo and is available for streaming outside the United States on Hayu.
