BIDEN'S SHOCKING VP SECRET REVEALED: BLM FORCED HIS HAND!

BIDEN'S SHOCKING VP SECRET REVEALED: BLM FORCED HIS HAND!

The search for Joe Biden’s 2020 running mate was a high-stakes political drama unfolding behind closed doors, and a new account reveals a surprising preference: Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Despite Biden’s personal inclination, the decision ultimately landed on Kamala Harris, a choice heavily influenced by a nation grappling with unrest.

By the summer of 2020, Whitmer had become a nationally recognized figure, largely due to her assertive response to the COVID-19 pandemic and her highly publicized confrontations with then-President Donald Trump. Her profile was rapidly ascending, making her a serious contender for the vice-presidential slot.

Whitmer was the first potential candidate to meet Biden face-to-face, traveling to Delaware in August 2020. Those close to the situation say the meeting went exceptionally well, and she was prepared to accept the position had it been offered.

However, the landscape shifted dramatically in the wake of George Floyd’s death and the ensuing nationwide protests. A former senior staffer for Whitmer explained the prevailing sentiment: “The moment called for a Black running mate.” The pressure to select a Black woman was immense.

According to sources, Biden’s initial preference remained with Whitmer, but the political realities of the moment proved decisive. The need to address the national outcry and solidify support within the Democratic base ultimately led to the selection of Kamala Harris.

A former advisor to both Biden and Harris corroborated this assessment, stating the claim that Biden “wanted it to be Whitmer” held “some weight.” The decision wasn’t simply about political calculation; it was about responding to a pivotal moment in American history.

Whitmer herself later confirmed she would have accepted the role if asked. She emphasized the importance of the election, stating she would have readily partnered with Biden. Yet, she also admitted to a sense of relief when the call never came.

While Biden had publicly committed to choosing a woman, the push for a Black woman intensified from within the Democratic party. Concerns were raised that selecting Whitmer could potentially jeopardize support in crucial states like Michigan, a state she ultimately delivered for the Biden-Harris ticket.

Despite not being chosen, Whitmer remained a staunch supporter of Biden, actively campaigning for the ticket and continuing her support through his 2024 reelection bid before he withdrew from the race. Her dedication underscored her commitment to the Democratic cause, even when her own ambitions weren’t realized.
