UMVA Exclusive: New Jersey’s Battle Lines Drawn—Delaney Hall’s Protest Erupts as Far‑Left Firebrands and ICE Fanatics Collide!

UMVA has learned that the clash outside Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark has erupted into a volatile ideological battleground, turning a protest over detainee conditions into a full‑scale political showdown.

What began as a week‑long outcry by undocumented detainees—who wrote an open letter accusing the center of physical and psychological abuse, denied medical care, and insufficient food—has now exploded into a fierce confrontation between far‑left communist-socialist activists and a far‑right faction.

After the Department of Homeland Security hastily dismissed the detainees’ allegations and released menus showcasing chicken fajitas and Salisbury steak, tensions boiled over when federal agents were assaulted by agitators, prompting Governor Mikie Sherrill to deploy the New Jersey State Police to safeguard the demonstrators from an alleged “ICE surge.”

By Saturday morning, the detention center was encircled by orange plastic barricades and metal fencing, its entrance a fortified gateway that felt more like a battlefield than a place of confinement.

State officials have confirmed that the chaos is fueled by outsiders rather than local residents, with the Attorney General noting that five of the six individuals arrested by state police this week were not from New Jersey.

Around 200 anti‑ICE demonstrators—deeply intertwined with far‑left and socialist groups—dominated the scene, chanting “Stop ICE Gestapo! Communist revolution!” as they handed out radical flyers proclaiming “LONG LIVE COMMUNISM!” and “NO PAPERS, NO BORDERS, NO BOSSES.”

The moment the far‑right Proud Boys appeared, clutching pro‑ICE flags, food, and water for law enforcement, the atmosphere shifted dramatically; the left‑wing agitators surged toward the barriers, swearing profanity and redirecting their chants to “Proud Boys go home.”

During a press briefing, Governor Sherrill warned that ICE involvement “creates an incredibly dangerous situation” and vowed to confront the Trump administration’s threats head‑on, while condemning the infiltration of “national extremist groups” that are amplifying chaos rather than aiding detainee families.

She urged protestors to lower the temperature of their demonstrations so the focus could return to the detainees and their families, calling for compliance with lawful orders from local and state law enforcement and a return to constructive advocacy by community leaders.

State health inspectors faced restrictions, being allowed to view only the kitchen, and the governor demanded that the Department of Homeland Security cease pressuring detainees into signing deportation documents.
