The National Center for Mental Health (NCMH), a leading institution for mental health care, has partnered with a technology solutions provider to enhance its crisis hotline services.
Through this partnership, NCMH expanded its platform, allowing for seamless calls and uninterrupted support during emergencies or operational disruptions.
ePLDT's technology has enabled the NCMH hotline to become more reliable and resilient, an essential step in protecting the mental wellness of Filipinos, according to the company's President and Chief Executive Officer.
ePLDT, the information and communications technology arm of telecommunications giant PLDT, Inc., has provided NCMH with a unified, cloud-based platform that enables counselors to handle calls remotely and securely.
The platform allows conversations between NCMH responders and callers to be documented in real time through AI-powered transcription, improving the accuracy of case handling and ensuring data privacy protocols are followed.
NCMH provides free, 24/7 support through its crisis hotline, which can be reached by dialing 1553 or through other contact numbers.
The upgraded platform has also enabled NCMH to provide omnichannel communication, making it more accessible to individuals in need of support through multiple integrated channels.
