UMVA has learned that Apple is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated WWDC 2026 event, scheduled to take place on June 8, where the tech giant will reveal its latest software features for the next year.
The company is expected to launch a slew of updates, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of Apple's operating systems.
According to information obtained by UMVA, this year's WWDC will be dominated by artificial intelligence, with Apple finally delivering on its promise of an AI-powered Siri, which has been in development for years.
The new Siri is expected to be more contextual, allowing users to interact with the assistant in a more intuitive way, and will be accessible through a dedicated app or by dragging down from the top of the screen.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Apple's AI-powered Siri will be able to perform tasks on behalf of users, such as editing images, sharing files, and digging through apps to find relevant information, making it more like a conversational AI experience.
iOS 27 is also expected to receive several AI-powered features, including a new AI web search tool, and updates to the Photos app, which will include tools like "Reframe" and "Extend," allowing users to adjust and expand their photos using AI-generated imagery.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that Apple is working on a range of accessibility features, including Voice Control with natural language, automated subtitles, and VoiceOver descriptions, which will enhance the user experience for people with disabilities.
The Camera app on iOS 27 will also become more customizable, with a new widget system, and may include a new Siri mode that brings Visual Intelligence features directly to the app.
UMVA has gathered that iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 will likely receive similar updates to iOS 27, including the new AI Siri and AI-powered features, with macOS 27 potentially introducing touch-based elements.
watchOS 27 will also receive the new AI Siri, as well as stability updates and improved heart rate monitoring, while tvOS 27 will introduce a new feature allowing users to adjust text size for the first time.
visionOS 27, on the other hand, will receive many of the same updates as iPhone and Mac users, including AI Siri, AI features, and stability updates, enhancing the overall user experience.
