TALK RADIO STAR AXED for SHOCKING Facebook Rant!

TALK RADIO STAR AXED for SHOCKING Facebook Rant!

A controversial Facebook post led to the abrupt dismissal of journalist Mike Graham from his TalkTV breakfast show, Morning Glory. The post, described as “abhorrent and vile,” ignited immediate public outrage and triggered a swift internal investigation by News UK.

The post featured an image combining a statue of Winston Churchill and Big Ben with a crowded London Underground carriage displaying a diverse group of passengers, including a woman wearing a hijab. Accompanying the image was a deeply offensive caption questioning the changing demographics of Britain and using explicitly hateful language.

Graham initially claimed his Facebook account had been hacked, asserting he did not author the post and had no knowledge of its existence until it was brought to his attention. He stated he immediately deleted the message and took steps to bolster his online security.

News UK, however, stated that Graham “failed to fully cooperate” with their investigation, which utilized an independent forensic firm to determine the post’s origin. Despite initial agreement to participate, Graham reportedly “reneged on several opportunities” to assist in the inquiry.

The broadcaster, aged 65, was initially suspended earlier in the month while the investigation unfolded. Jeremy Kyle stepped in to temporarily fill Graham’s slot on Morning Glory during this period.

Adding another layer to the situation, followers noted a similar image had previously appeared on Graham’s X account, accompanied by a less inflammatory, though still pointed, caption questioning the state of modern Britain.

News UK ultimately concluded that Graham would not be returning to Talk, citing grave concerns over his lack of cooperation regarding what they deemed a “serious matter.” The decision marks a definitive end to his tenure with the network.

Beyond his television work, Graham also hosts a podcast titled “Plank of the Week.” The fallout from this incident raises questions about accountability for online content and the responsibilities of public figures regarding their social media presence.
