Actress Millie Bobby Brown Opens Up About Three-Month Health

Actress Millie Bobby Brown Opens Up About Three-Month Health

The actress, known for her roles in Stranger Things and Enola Holmes, revealed a traumatic incident where she was 'chased' by someone, leading to a three-month-long anxiety panic attack.

Milly Bobby Brown, 22, explained that she 'shut down' for three months after the encounter, meditating with monks to cope. The actress, who is now married to Jake Bongiovi and has adopted a baby girl, suffers from long stretches of anxiety rather than short bursts.

Speaking on the podcast, Brown said that her anxiety doesn't come on at specific times, but rather in cycles that last for months. 'Something big needs to happen and then it will probably last for two months, every day,' she explained.

Millie Bobby Brown broke her cycle of anxiety by meeting with Buddhist monks in Japan.

Brown added that she 'got chased by these people and it was really traumatising. It was very, very intense and very scary.' She said that it took her a trip to Japan and a chance to meditate with monks to shake the anxiety cycle.

The actress described her experience with the monks as 'the most amazing experience. It took me out of the cycle.' She now has healthier coping mechanisms and tools to break the mindset as it happens, rather than spiralling for months.

Brown also spoke about her past-life beliefs, revealing that she thinks she was once a closeted gay soldier who met a gruesome end. Her Enola Holmes co-star, Louis Partridge, wasn't convinced, but Brown believes that her past-life experiences have helped her heal in many ways.

She said that she thinks divine intervention played a role in her healing, and that it was a moment where she needed to take a break and figure out what was happening in her head. Brown also described motherhood as a 'beautiful, amazing journey' and is grateful to have found healthier ways to cope with her anxiety.
