The 2020 Georgia presidential election continues to yield unsettling questions, now escalating with a dramatic FBI operation. Agents descended upon the Fulton County Election Hub and Operation Center in late January, a recently opened facility intended to modernize the state’s election processes, signaling a deepening investigation into potential irregularities.
The FBI confirmed its presence at the Fulton County Department of Elections, executing a search warrant with a sweeping scope. Investigators sought physical paper ballots, digital images of those ballots from the original and subsequent counts, all tabulator tapes from the 2020 election, and the voter rolls used during that pivotal contest.
The scale of the seizure is significant. Approximately 656 boxes of election-related materials were removed by the FBI and transported to an undisclosed location. This figure aligns with a sworn affidavit from Nadine Williams, the Director of Registrations and Elections, who previously stated there were “over 700 boxes” of records.
Until recently, the warrant remained sealed, but court records have now been unsealed, revealing the investigation’s origins. The FBI’s criminal inquiry was reportedly triggered by a referral from Kurt Olsen, a Presidentially-appointed Director of Election Security and Integrity.
The implications are further amplified by claims from Georgia election watchdog Garland Favorito. He alleges that 17,852 certified votes lack corresponding digital ballot images – and potentially, the paper ballots themselves. This discrepancy is particularly alarming given the incredibly narrow margin of victory in Georgia.
Joe Biden’s reported win in Georgia was by a mere 11,779 votes. Favorito’s claim suggests a significant number of votes were certified without verifiable documentation, raising serious questions about the integrity of the count. A previous complaint specifically highlighted 3,125 duplicate ballot counts alongside these 17,852 votes lacking corresponding images.
The situation demands scrutiny. The certification of an election with such a substantial number of unverified votes casts a long shadow, and those responsible for validating the 2020 results now face mounting pressure to provide comprehensive explanations.
