ELITE IQ TEST FAILS 22! Can YOU Solve It?

ELITE IQ TEST FAILS 22! Can YOU Solve It?

Since its debut in 2022,The 1% Clubhas rapidly become a television phenomenon, relentlessly challenging contestants with increasingly complex logic puzzles. Hosted by Lee Mack, the show begins with 100 hopefuls, systematically winnowing them down through a series of deceptively difficult questions.

The ultimate goal is a tantalizing £100,000 prize, but to claim it, players must answer a final question that stumps a remarkable 99% of the population. What appears straightforward to viewers at home transforms into a high-pressure test when contestants are limited to just 30 seconds per question.

A recent episode featured a question at the 50% level that left a significant portion of the studio audience utterly baffled: “If TRUE is 1234 and LOVE is 7654, what bird is 5371324?” The seemingly simple code proved surprisingly elusive.

The solution? VULTURE. The puzzle hinged on deciphering a numerical code where each digit corresponded to a specific letter. By applying this logic to the longer word, the answer dramatically revealed itself.

While only two contestants were eliminated by the bird puzzle, a full 20 opted to use their one-time “free pass,” allowing them to skip the question altogether. Matt Strickland, one of those who used the pass, admitted the answer became clear only after time had expired.

This wasn’t an isolated incident. Another question, involving a seating arrangement and dating couples, prompted 13 contestants to use their free pass and resulted in four eliminations. The puzzle presented a visual of six people at a table and a complex set of rules.

The question asked: “Three couples are out on a date. No one is sitting next to or directly opposite their date. Arran tells Nick’s date that he likes her shoes. Who is David’s date?” The solution required careful deduction and spatial reasoning.

The answer is Janice. By meticulously applying the given constraints – no one sitting beside or across from their date, and Arran’s comment – the relationships could be untangled. The logic revealed that Nick and Charlotte were a couple, leading to the identification of David’s date.

Even host Lee Mack confessed to being initially perplexed by the seating puzzle, wryly observing that it’s “great when you read them out and you still don’t understand the answer.” The show continues to demonstrate how easily logic can become obscured under pressure.
