Head, who was best known for his portrayal of librarian Rupert Giles in the cult classic series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, has died surrounded by his family due to complications from pneumonia.
His daughters, actresses Emily and Daisy Head, confirmed his death in a heartfelt statement, describing their father as "extraordinary" and expressing their gratitude for having had the privilege of witnessing his impact on the world.
Anthony Head's impressive career spanned several decades and included a wide range of roles, including his memorable performance as Rupert Mannion, the former owner of Richmond FC, in the comedy-drama series Ted Lasso.
