The image, quickly deleted from Trump’s social media account, depicted the former president in a striking portrayal of Jesus Christ. He was shown in flowing white robes, a red sash, and with a glowing hand outstretched over a frail, bedridden figure.
The backdrop was a chaotic blend of patriotic imagery: American flags, soaring bald eagles, fighter jets cutting through the sky, and even a fantastical, horned creature. The sheer spectacle of it all initially drew criticism for being blasphemous.
When questioned about the post, Trump offered a curious explanation, claiming he’d perceived himself as a doctor, operating within a Red Cross framework, rather than a divine figure. This explanation did little to quell the rising tide of commentary.
