US Under Siege: Terror Groups EXPLODING Under Biden!

US Under Siege: Terror Groups EXPLODING Under Biden!

The threat of terror sleeper cells operating within the United States is not a distant possibility, but a stark reality, according to FBI Director Kash Patel. Recent events have underscored the growing danger posed by foreign-linked terrorism, demanding a renewed focus on homeland security.

Patel directly addressed concerns surrounding the U.S. relationship with Iran, linking escalating tensions to the potential for attacks. He pointed to tragic incidents in Virginia and Michigan as chilling reminders of the consequences when convicted terrorists are not held accountable for their crimes.

The case of Mohamed Jalloh, a naturalized citizen convicted of supporting ISIS, serves as a harrowing example. Jalloh opened fire at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, claiming a life and shattering a sense of security. His prior conviction and incomplete sentence raise critical questions about risk assessment and preventative measures.

Similarly, the attack on a Michigan synagogue, allegedly carried out by Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, revealed the insidious influence of Iran-backed Hezbollah. The synagogue was filled with over one hundred children at the time of the incident, highlighting the vulnerability of community spaces.

Senator David McCormick emphasized a disturbing trend: hundreds of individuals on the U.S. terror watch list have entered the country during the current administration. Many remain at large, posing an ongoing and significant threat to public safety.

This shift in focus comes after a period where white supremacy was prioritized as the leading domestic terror threat. While acknowledging the dangers of domestic extremism, Patel’s comments signal a necessary recalibration to address the evolving landscape of global terrorism.

Data presented by House Homeland Security Chairman August Pfluger reveals a dramatic increase in the number of individuals on the terror watchlist attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. From just eleven apprehensions between 2017 and 2020, the number surged to 382 between 2021 and 2024.

Compounding these challenges is a prolonged appropriations freeze impacting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the FBI’s largest law enforcement partner. This funding impasse has left agencies like the TSA under-resourced and, critically, has delayed paychecks for essential personnel.

Patel warned that every missed paycheck creates an opportunity for criminals to exploit vulnerabilities within the system. He expressed optimism that Senator McCormick’s efforts would secure funding for DHS, but condemned those opposing the measure as effectively undermining law enforcement.

McCormick characterized the funding dispute as “political theater,” accusing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of using DHS funding as a “political pawn” during a time of international conflict. He deemed this tactic “unforgivable” and “disgraceful,” especially given the ongoing 49-day shutdown affecting over 200,000 DHS workers.

The ongoing stalemate, according to McCormick, is marked by a constantly shifting set of demands from Senator Schumer, further exacerbating the crisis and jeopardizing national security. The situation demands immediate resolution to safeguard the nation from evolving threats.
