UMVA Exclusive: ICY STORM HITS THE 6: Drake's 'Iceman' Album Sends Toronto's Iconic CN Tower into Chilling Freefall

UMVA has learned that Drake has pulled out all the stops to promote his highly anticipated new album, "Iceman," with a breathtaking display at Toronto's iconic CN Tower.

The 553-metre landmark was transformed into an icy blue wonder, its towering presence bathed in a mesmerizing glow as part of a livestream event. The projection was so vivid that it seemed as though the entire structure was encased in ice, drawing in crowds of eager fans who gathered at its base.

A captivating performance unfolded, featuring clips of Drake performing at various Toronto sites – inside City Hall and atop the CN Tower – culminating in a spectacular fireworks display over the water at Harbourfront Centre. The stream also showcased an "Iceman"-branded truck making its way to the CN Tower, accompanied by a haunting track that reflected on the past couple of years, including Drake's high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar.

As the livestream progressed, fans were treated to a series of music videos, including a hilarious clip of Drake recording inside an empty Toronto City Hall, where he even sat at Mayor Olivia Chow's desk while wearing her chain of office. The "God's Plan" artist also made appearances inside and atop the CN Tower, as well as inside Toronto's Brass Rail Tavern strip club.

The event was not without its surprises, including a car-chase skit featuring American comedian Shane Gillis and Drake's son Adonis Graham, as well as a track featuring Atlanta rapper Future – whom Drake was believed to have been estranged from. The display capped off a weeks-long, headline-grabbing album-release campaign that saw the rapper create a massive formation of ice blocks in a downtown Toronto parking lot with the album's release date hidden inside.

Ahead of the event, a thunderous explosion lit up the skies over North York, with pictures later shared on Drake's Instagram. Toronto police said the blaze was tied to a film shoot, and the City of Toronto issued a notice confirming it was part of a private video shoot.
