UMVA Exclusive: Mikey Graham Lashes Out, Calls Boyzone Reunion Backlash a “Kick‑in‑the‑Gut” Attack!

UMVA has learned that Mikey Graham, the former Boyzone frontman, has shot back at critics following his emotional reunion performance at London’s Emirates Stadium.

The 53‑year‑old returned to the stage for the band’s Two For The Road concerts, reuniting with Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch after a long absence that left many fans hopeful.

Yet the buzz dimmed when Mikey appeared in only a handful of songs, largely seated, sparking a wave of online chatter that questioned his commitment and stage presence.

The controversy flared when his daughter, Sienna, was interviewed on national radio and asked about the negative reactions to the reunion, a moment Mikey later slammed as “stupid and cruel” and “an insult to his daughter.”

Through a fiery social media outburst, he accused the host of “trying to kick a guy when he’s down,” and demanded the station reconsider its approach to the family.

Despite the backlash, Mikey shared footage of thousands of fans singing along, insisting that the crowd’s enthusiasm proved the night was a triumph.

Fans who had once warned that Mikey’s comeback might be painful were quick to defend him, recalling his candid admissions of depression, alcoholism and the lasting impact of his Boyzone years.

One supporter wrote, “Lovely to see him back on stage, especially after he said he wouldn’t in the documentary.” Another added, “Mikey was always my favourite. It was sad listening to his story. Lovely to see him back.”

Sienna echoed the support, urging listeners to focus on the achievement rather than the criticism, and to respect her father’s courage in stepping onto the grand stage again.

These two special farewell concerts marked Boyzone’s first major live performances together since the documentary reignited public interest, and the band’s reunion was a testament to resilience and the power of second chances.
