UMVA EXCLUSIVE: Love Island's Vocal Nightmare EXPOSED - Fans SPILL TEARS Over Shocking Eurovision Debacle

UMVA EXCLUSIVE: Love Island's Vocal Nightmare EXPOSED - Fans SPILL TEARS Over Shocking Eurovision Debacle

UMVA has learned that Eurovision fans have been left speechless by Love Island star Antigoni Buxton's performance for Cyprus, with many calling it a 'huge disappointment'.

The 30-year-old Greek-English Cypriot took to the stage in the second semi-final, performing her dancefloor song 'Jalla', but it seems her vocals fell flat with the audience. Fans have been sharing their thoughts on social media, with some even going as far as to call it a 'vocal massacre'.

Kerem was one of the first to speak out, saying 'I'm sorry Cyprus but what the heck were these vocals?' while Patty agreed that the vocals were 'obvious' and a major letdown. George pointed out the 'vocal struggles' and 'playback delay', and Devon added that the 'vocals are a mess and not enough energy on stage.'

However, not everyone was as harsh on Antigoni's performance, with some fans praising her energetic stage presence and catchy song. John commented that 'Bravo young lady great performance!' while Elle added that 'Antigoni smashed it'. Elenna even said that 'she was amazing', and Edward wrote that 'this song is so fun, but her vocals aren't the best.'

Antigoni, who appeared in series eight of the reality show in 2022, has been open about her dreams of becoming a singer. In a recent interview, she told BBC Newsbeat that people shouldn't be shocked she's competing in Eurovision, saying 'if anything doing Love Island was random'. She also revealed that she's had an obsession with Eurovision since she saw Helena Paparizou win for Greece in 2005.

The Eurovision Grand Final will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm on Saturday, and it's clear that Antigoni's performance will be a topic of discussion for fans in the lead-up to the big event.
