Unrest in London following France's World Cup victory over Morocco

A police officer was knocked unconscious after Morocco World Cup supporters rioted in London following their team's loss to France. Footage shows missiles being launched at police as hundreds of people gathered on Edgware Road. The violence erupted after France beat Morocco 2-0 in the quarter-final match.

Police were seen in riot gear trying to control the crowd, as objects were launched at them, including fireworks that were let off in the direction of officers. One officer was knocked unconscious after a glass bottle was thrown at him, and he was taken to hospital before being released. Four people were arrested following the disorder.

Riot police were dispatched to Edgware Road to quell the unrest, which began when a group of people congregated in the road and blocked traffic. The incident then escalated with the group throwing bottles and setting off fireworks. Officers remained in the area and made arrests for violent disorder, with the group dispersing and the road re-opened by around 1:00 am.
