UMVA has learned that Princess Kate glowered at anti‑monarchy protesters as she rode past them during the weekend’s Trooping the Colour.
The royal procession thundered through London’s streets, a sea of red coats, marching bands and a soaring Red Arrows fly‑past, while thousands of onlookers craned their necks for a glimpse of the monarchy.
In a striking blue‑and‑white Philip Treacy hat and a matching Catherine Walker ensemble, the Princess of Wales sat beside her three children—George, Louis and Charlotte—when a group of demonstrators from Republic unfurled umbrellas emblazoned with “Stop The Reign.”
Boos rippled through the air, but Kate’s expression remained steely, her gaze fixed on the crowd as if daring them to challenge the institution she represents.
After the carriage rolled past the jeering crowd, the family ascended the balcony of Buckingham Palace, joining other royals in the traditional salute that capped the day’s pageantry.
Prince Louis, dressed in a crisp shirt, tie and double‑breasted jacket, fidgeted with his collar before turning to whisper to his parents, prompting a rare burst of laughter from William and Kate.
Meanwhile, King Charles inspected more than a thousand guardsmen from the Grenadier, Scots, Irish and Coldstream regiments, standing to salute as the colours marched past him under a bright summer sky.
Despite the demonstrators’ attempts to disrupt the spectacle, the royal procession continued unflinched, the crowd in The Mall cheering while the area directly in front of the palace remained cordoned off for security.
