The blaze, which ignited on Sunday afternoon, quickly consumed a three-story commercial building on Union Street, demanding a swift and substantial response from emergency services.
More than sixty firefighters battled the intense flames, deploying twelve fire appliances and three high-reach vehicles to contain the rapidly spreading fire. Crews worked tirelessly to extinguish the blaze, focusing on the ground floor of the building where the fire initially took hold.
