The Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has been at the center of controversy after a previously unseen video resurfaced, in which he defends the deportation of a convicted child molester, Tou Lue Vang. Walz states in the video that he can find no reason why Minnesota would be safer or better if Vang, a Laotian national, were deported to a country he has not been to since he was a child.
Vang was convicted in 2004 of repeatedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl in Minnesota. Despite his conviction, he served no prison time and lost his legal immigration status, facing a final order of deportation. However, Walz and the Democrat-controlled Minnesota Board of Pardons issued a pardon that effectively shielded Vang from being sent out of the country.
The pardon has been widely criticized, with many accusing Walz of treating the predator like a victim and showing zero concern for the young girl he abused. The controversy surrounding the pardon came to a head earlier this week when Secretary of State Marco Rubio stepped in and revoked Vang's legal status in the United States.
Federal agents quickly took Vang into custody, and he has now been removed from the country. Rubio made it clear that this foreign criminal will never again pose a threat to any American and that elected leaders should never force citizens to live alongside foreign sex criminals who have no right to be here.
Rubio stated in a recent post that "because of our action, this foreign criminal will never pose a threat to any American ever again. Americans must never be forced by their elected leaders to live alongside foreign sex criminals who have no right to begin with to reside in our country. This administration will always stand with the American people and defend them from violent criminals."
Walz's defense of Vang has sparked widespread outrage, with many questioning his judgment and priorities. The deportation of Vang marks a significant victory for those who advocate for stricter immigration laws and the protection of American citizens from violent criminals.
